And welcome back to the Entrepreneur Kids Legacy Show! A place where children learn how to think big, stay brave, and build strong futures. Today's episode belongs to our
[00:01:04] Legacy Life Leadership Lesson Series, where we talk a lot about mindset. How leaders think, even when no one's watching. I'm your business pal, Daniel. And I'm your powerful princess, Mindset Partner, Jack! Before we begin, let's do a quick jacking together. Take a deep breath in. Take a deep breath in.
[00:01:40] A project you're working on. A project you're working on. A sport that made you want to quit. This is a special...
[00:02:08] Being relentless does not mean being loud, pushy, or bossy. It means not giving up what God put inside you. Relentless is a decision. That's right. It's an identity that says, I don't quit just because it's hard.
[00:02:33] In fact, just like our friend, Ed Milet, says go one more time. That's right. One more time. God doesn't ask us to be perfect. Exactly. He asks us to be faithful and keep going, even when no one's clapping yet. Yeah, you're right, Daniel. And sometimes that feels like a challenge.
[00:03:01] Wow, Destiny. It is. We all have strength that we are blessed with. And we can use during challenging things. Daniel, that's wonderfully said. Hey, is it time for the story of the day yet? I can't wait for a story. You know what time it is, friends?
[00:03:55] We're visiting Edison. Wait a second, Daniel. Does that name sound familiar? Yes. You might remember Thomas Edison, friends. We actually told this full story before in our Great Thinker series, episode 43. So if you haven't heard it yet, you can check it out after.
[00:04:24] That episode dives deep into his inventions, his imagination, and how he changed the world. So if you love stories about great minds, don't worry. It will be linked in the show notes for you. But today we're talking about mindset. Back to the story, Daniel. You got it, friends. Today we're zooming in on one powerful part of his story.
[00:04:52] His relentless mindset. Da-da-da-da. Da-da-da-da-da-da. Picture this, friends. Young Thomas is sitting at a small wooden desk. His pockets are stuffed with rocks, wires, and tiny pieces of metal. He's always experimenting, always wondering, and always asking questions. Like, why does this work?
[00:05:20] What happens if I try this instead? In school, Thomas asked so many questions that some adults thought he was distracting. Some even said he would never succeed. But Thomas, he didn't quit. At home, he turned ordinary spaces into tiny experiment stations. He tested ideas. He made mistakes. Things didn't work.
[00:05:50] A lot. I bet he didn't give up, though. That's right. When something failed, Thomas didn't say I'm bad at this. He said, I'd learn something. So he adjusted, changed his approach, and tried again. Again, and again, and again. You're right, Destiny. Thomas failed hundreds of times.
[00:06:19] But he stayed relentless. And because he didn't quit, he eventually helped bring light to the world. That's such a great story. I loved it. So did I. So friends, what did we learn today? May I go first? Absolutely. Ladies first.
[00:06:43] We learned that relentless children don't let mistakes decide who they are. That's a good one, Destiny. Here's another one. Mistakes are not stop signs. They're information. That's right. That's right. Relentless kids learn. Adjust and ask for help. Yes. And keep going. Even when progress feels slow.
[00:07:12] Those are wonderful lessons. Do you know what time it is? It's time for the legacy.
[00:07:23] Big question of the day. Being relentless means which of these never resting?
[00:07:53] B. Quitting when it's uncomfortable. Not in this community. Or C. Fine again. What could it be D? Doing nothing all day.
[00:08:07] Leave your favorite part of the show in the review section.
[00:08:49] On the platform you're listening on today. Leave your parents Instagram handle so you can find the next legacy. Can't wait to find the next legacy. Now it's time for our tactical legacy challenge of the week. Challenge accepted. This week's legacy challenge.
[00:09:20] Think of one thing you wanted to quit. That's right. We don't. So this is the challenge. Listen up. Instead of quitting, ask yourself, what can I learn? What can I try differently? And who can help me? Write these down and try it one more time this week.
[00:09:50] Make sure to do it with those small adjustments. And if it's still hard, talk to your parent and make a new plan. Relentless kids don't just push blindly. They grow wisely. We are so proud of you. Doing this to grow your...
[00:10:18] When you try again, you're building strength you can't see yet. Exactly. Isn't that well said, friends? And this brings us to the end. Way too fast today. I wish we could do ten. Friends, if this episode helped you, sail with someone you care about.
[00:10:44] And please leave a kind review and five golden stars. This helps these lessons reach more incredible children and families just like you.
